What is the one thing you would tell the parent of a child recently diagnosed with profound hearing loss?:
Take it one day at a time. There is so much to be grateful for, focus on that, instead of what is lacking. And very important...treat your hearing impaired child the same as you would a hearing child. Okay, so that was three things. :)

HI! I'm Ethan's mom! Great to find your blog! Logan's a total doll :-)
Hi there,
My newborn (and third son) was diagnosed with mild-moderate hearing loss one month ago. Just yesterday he had another BAER and he was diagnosed with severe-profound hearing loss. A friend at church sent me the URL to your blog and I really appreciated briefly reading through it. Thanks for your words of advice, i am completey overwhelmed and sad. It sounds like you have taught Logan some sign, what program is he in and what do you recommend I start with?
